Paul Mccartney Officially Signs To Coffee Label…. Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed he’ll be the first artist to sign to a new joint record label formed by coffee chain Starbucks and the Concord Music Group.

The former Beatle’s as-yet-untitled new album will be released on the new label, Hear Music, in June (07).

McCartney says, “This is something I’ve been working on for a little while now.”

And he insists his first album for the new label will be one of his best: “A lot of it’s very personal to me. The songs are in some ways a little bit retrospective. Some of them are of now, some of them hark back to the past, but all of them are songs I’m very proud of.”

The coffee chain’s profile as a music retail outlet spiked in 2005 when the company’s Ray Charles duets compilation, Genius Loves Company, became a chart-topping sensation and picked up eight Grammy Awards.

The new label has also struck deals to release upcoming projects by Alanis Morissette and Bob Dylan.

Joss Stone ‘furious’ At Retouched Magazine Photos…. British soul star Joss Stone is reportedly furious a cover shoot she did for fashion magazine Harpers Bazaar has been retouched to erase her nose ring and change the colour of her hair.

Stone dyed her naturally blonde locks pink earlier this year (07) to annoy executives at her label Relentless and is said to be angry at the magazine’s decision to digitally alter her image.

She is alleged to have said to friends, “Some fashion magazine. I’ll never work with them again.”

However a spokesperson for Harpers Bazaar denies the dispute, saying, “All we can say is that we’ve had nothing but positive feedback from (Stone’s) people.

I can’t confirm whether her nose ring and hair were digitally altered.”

Emma Watson not quitting Potter

Filed under: Uncategorized — enews @ 1:02 pm

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is certain she will do the last two Potter movies, despite reports claiming she told film bosses she wanted to quit.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros., who make the films, told Newsround: “We’re extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven.”

And while doing interviews for the fifth potter film Emma has said she’s sure she will film all seven stories.

Emma, who plays Hermione in the films, is set to sign her new contract soon.

All the actors appearing in the Potter movies sign contracts with the film company which agree things like how much they’ll be paid.

Filming plans

Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry has already signed his, but the details are still being worked out for Emma’s.

Warner Bros. plan to start filming the sixth story Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with Dan, Emma and Rupert Grint later this year.

And all three are also expected to make the final film The Deathly Hallows after that.

Naomi Cambell Wows Bosses During Sentence

Naomi Cambell Wows Bosses During Sentence…. Former supermodel Naomi Campbell began mopping floors at New York’s Sanitation Department earlier today (19Mar07).

The British beauty will perform cleaning duties for five days, after being ordered by a Manhattan judge earlier this year (Jan07) to undertake community service as punishment for throwing a mobile phone at maid Ana Scolavino.

Campbell has been allowed to perform her cleaning duties in private, in a bid to avoid the press furore which surrounded pop star Boy George’s community service stint in the city last year (06).

Despite being warned by sanitation boss Albert Durrell “not to wear heels” to work, Campbell arrived at the Lower East Side building at 8am in a pair of stiletto boots, although she was also carrying a pair of work shoes.

Meanwhile the supermodel has been praised for her attitude to her sentence by wowing sanitation bosses by working hard during her first day of community service in New York City.

The former supermodel yesterday (19Mar07) began a five day sentence mopping floors at the city’s Sanitation Department – but showed no sign of the diva behaviour that landed her the sentence, after she was convicted of throwing a mobile phone at her maid.

Colleagues at the site claim Campbell has worked harder than many regular staff members.

An employee tells British newspaper The Sun, “She worked really hard and asked the supervisor, ‘How am I doing?’ He told her she was working harder than some regular staff.

“But some of the women who work here have been a bit catty and say they are going to make extra mess for her to clean.”

McCartney Fans Call For Mills Reality Show Boycott

McCartney Fans Call For Mills Reality Show Boycott…. Fans of Sir Paul McCartney have started a campaign to boycott his estranged wife Heather Mills’ new reality show Dancing With The Stars.

The former model made her debut on the show last night (19Mar07), in what is though to be an attempt to repair her image during a damaging divorce battle with the former Beatle.

But McCartney devotees are urging TV viewers to turn their backs on the show.

One internet posting, on a site dedicated to the show, reads, “The best thing fans could do is not to watch the show at all, and her offers will immediately dry up. Why reward Abc for hiring her? Bad ratings are the best revenge.”

Meanwhile McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills has been warned she could be humiliated on TV show Dancing With The Stars, by a fellow contestant.

Mills is appearing on the reality show in a bid to improve her image – but model Paulina Porizkova warns the experiment could backfire.

Porizkova says of Mills – who has been vilified in the British press during her divorce battle with McCartney – “It’s great TV. If Heather comes on and shows how warm and wonderful she is, people are going to go for her. If she doesn’t she is screwed.”

James McAvoy ‘devastated’ About Missing Narnia Films…. Scottish actor James McAvoy fears he’ll miss out on the excitement of the Chronicles Of Narnia film series because the character he played in the first film doesn’t show up again until book seven.

The Brit won acclaim as faun Mr Tumnus in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe but hasn’t been asked to reprise the role in the sequel, Prince Caspian.

And he fears he’ll be old and grey before he returns to the film franchise, based on Cs Lewis’ books.

He tells Venice magazine, “Tumnus doesn’t show up until the last Narnia book, which is called The Last Battle… so I’m a bit devastated.

“But, if they ever get to the seventh book, when I’m about 45 years old, maybe they’ll (producers) come knocking.”

Mel C Still Haunted By Spice Girls Misery

Mel C Still Haunted By Spice Girls Misery…. Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm turned down the chance to reunite with the girl group because she is still haunted by negative memories of her time with the Wannabe hitmakers.

The 32-year-old singer claims she suffered an eating disorder while in the band, and is still disturbed by the impact her skinny image had on young fans.

She says, “When I was in the Spice Girls I wasn’t eating, I was exercising way too much, my periods had stopped and my bone density was dangerously low.

And the worst thing about it is that I was a role model to millions of young girls.”

Sporty Spice Chisholm last week hit out at claims she is the only Spice Girl refusing to reunite, insisting other former bandmembers are also against a comeback.
