Naomi Cambell Wows Bosses During Sentence

Naomi Cambell Wows Bosses During Sentence…. Former supermodel Naomi Campbell began mopping floors at New York’s Sanitation Department earlier today (19Mar07).

The British beauty will perform cleaning duties for five days, after being ordered by a Manhattan judge earlier this year (Jan07) to undertake community service as punishment for throwing a mobile phone at maid Ana Scolavino.

Campbell has been allowed to perform her cleaning duties in private, in a bid to avoid the press furore which surrounded pop star Boy George’s community service stint in the city last year (06).

Despite being warned by sanitation boss Albert Durrell “not to wear heels” to work, Campbell arrived at the Lower East Side building at 8am in a pair of stiletto boots, although she was also carrying a pair of work shoes.

Meanwhile the supermodel has been praised for her attitude to her sentence by wowing sanitation bosses by working hard during her first day of community service in New York City.

The former supermodel yesterday (19Mar07) began a five day sentence mopping floors at the city’s Sanitation Department – but showed no sign of the diva behaviour that landed her the sentence, after she was convicted of throwing a mobile phone at her maid.

Colleagues at the site claim Campbell has worked harder than many regular staff members.

An employee tells British newspaper The Sun, “She worked really hard and asked the supervisor, ‘How am I doing?’ He told her she was working harder than some regular staff.

“But some of the women who work here have been a bit catty and say they are going to make extra mess for her to clean.”
