Leehom and Cyndi Will ‘Fight’ At the End Of Year

Filed under: Uncategorized — enews @ 4:51 am

The fight of the year for singers to release their new albums has
arrived. Many singers have decided to postpone their release date and only
Leehom and Cyndi will be releasing their albums in December.

Leehom’s “Shangri-la” was one of the best selling albums of last year which sold 180,000 copies. His record company and record shops can’t wait for his new album to help them make more money. Cyndi can also sell well and record shops like to her as their lucky star and have high hopes for her new album.

“Shangri-la” was Leehom’s first trial of his Chinked-Out Chinese Hip Hop style of music. He says in the new album, he will continue with the Chinked Out style and has added more music elements from cultural minorities, Chinese Opera and Kun Qu. His first song to be plugged is called “Hua Tian Cuo” and uses Chinese opera elements and will surprise all listeners. Just before Leehom returned to America last week and has shot the music video for “Hua Tian Cuo”. He didn’t dress up as a Chinese opera singer, but he has invited real Chinese Opera singers to be in his new MV.

Leehom’s new album will be released on the 30th of December and Cyndi’s will be released on the 27th. Both pre-sale dates are very close-in mid December, however both singers cover different parts of the music market and they won’t be really fighting head to head, but for the staff of their music company, they will have to fight to get the best times for their adverts and the best position for shelves in record shops.
